Pacific Building Trade Expo, October 9, 2008 Enters 9th Year

Honolulu - The Ninth Annual Pacific Building Trade Expo is scheduled for Thursday, October 9, 2008. The Expo, sponsored by HONBLUE is presented in conjunction with the Honolulu Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Honolulu Chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). This year, the AIA Northwest and Pacific Regional Conference will be held in conjunction with Expo bringing 300 architects from Alaska, Guam, Hong Kong, Idaho, Japan, Montana, Oregon and Washington along with our local building and design community.

The Expo features the latest building products and services from hundreds of suppliers. It also offers a full schedule of continuing education sessions addressing current issues, innovations and techniques within the building design industry. Topics include computer technology, sustainable design, building systems, and professional practice issues, and there are special exhibits by association co-sponsors. Over 1,600 architects, specifiers, interior designers, engineers, contractors, educators, government officials and building management professionals attended the 2007 Expo.

Besides the accredited seminars, fabulous prizes, a free buffet lunch in the Exhibition Hall, Aloha Reception Hour and the AIA Honolulu Annual Business Meeting this year offers increased attendance through the AIA Northwest and Pacific Regional Conference and 208 exhibit booths available.

Admission to the Pacific Building Trade Expo is free and exclusive to building industry professionals, including contractors, suppliers, government officials, maintenance engineers and those who work within the building industry. With membership in AIA and CSI standard and premium 8' deep by 10' wide and 10' deep and 10' wide booth spaces will be available for reservation at discounted rates, which begin at $845.
